Radon

Radon is a radioactive gas that is produced when uranium in the ground decays. It can collect in your home and increase your risk of developing lung cancer. The National Cancer Institute estimates that radon gas causes approximately 17,000 preventable lung cancer deaths per year.

All of our national health organizations agree that radon gas exposure is a health risk and they encourage people to test their homes.

I use Sun Nuclear Model 1027 electronic monitors for all radon measurements. They are professional quality instruments that produce quick and accurate test results.
